Our twist on a classic chocolate stout is brewed with imported Dutch chocolate for a colossal chocolate flavor.

In a large pot, heat 500 ml of water to around 70°C (158°F). Stir in the malted barley, chocolate malt, and roasted barley. Allow the mixture to steep for 60 minutes, maintaining the temperature.

Prepare the Mash

After the mash, strain the liquid (wort) into another pot. Bring the wort to a boil and add the bittering hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the aroma hops in the last 10 minutes of boiling.

Boil the Wort

Remove the wort from heat and mix in the imported Dutch chocolate, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.

Add Flavorings

Cool the wort quickly to room temperature using an immersion chiller or an ice bath. Once cooled, transfer it to a sanitized fermentation vessel.

Pitch the yeast into the cooled wort, seal the fermentation vessel, and store it in a dark, cool place. Allow fermentation to occur for 1-2 weeks, or until bubbling stops.

Once fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to a keg, ensuring minimal oxygen exposure.

Transfer to Keg

Connect the nitrogen canister to the keg and carbonate the beer to desired levels. Allow it to sit for a day to absorb the nitrogen.
