Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Begin by preparing your glass. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip it in salt to coat the rim. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Muddle Jalapeño

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh slice of jalapeño. Using a muddler, gently press the jalapeño slice to release its oils. Be cautious not to over-muddle, as you want to infuse the drink without making it too spicy.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the blanco tequila, habanero mezcal, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and fresh lime juice into the shaker with the muddled jalapeño.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes, covering the liquid.

  5. 5

    Shake

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill the mixture and meld the flavors.

  6. 6

    Strain and Serve

Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass filled with fresh ice. This will help to filter out any jalapeño bits.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Garnish with an additional slice of jalapeño or a lime wedge on the rim of the glass, if desired.
