Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cherries
Wash and pit the fresh cherries. Once pitted, place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Combine the Liquors
In a separate bowl, mix the vodka and reposado tequila. Pour this mixture over the cherries in the mixing bowl, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- 3
Flavor the Mixture
Add the vanilla extract and cocoa powder to the cherry and liquor mixture. Stir gently to combine all ingredients well.
Infusion
- 4
Infuse the Cherries
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the mixture infuse in the refrigerator for 48 hours. This allows the cherries to absorb the flavors of the liquors and cocoa.
Clarification
- 5
Clarify the Mixture
After 48 hours, strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer to separate the solid cherries from the liquid. Discard the cherries or save them for another use.
- 6
- 7
Carbonate the Mixture
Pour the yogurt and liquid mixture into a soda siphon or a carbonator. Charge it with CO2 according to the manufacturer's instructions to carbonate the mixture.
Serving
- 8
Serve the Cherry Bounce
Pour the carbonated cherry bounce into glasses and top with additional carbonated water if desired. Enjoy immediately for the best fizz!
