Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling a cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in 2 oz of bourbon, 1 oz of Italian light amaro, and 0.5 oz of dry vermouth.
- 3
Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Peychaud's bitters to the mixing glass.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute the ingredients properly.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Remove the ice water from the cocktail glass and strain the chilled mixture into the glass using a fine mesh strainer.
- 6
Garnish
Express the oils from an orange twist over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
