Prepare the Glass
Place the sugar cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Add the bitters and water to the glass and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the Bourbon
Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour the bourbon over the ice.

Stir gently to combine the ingredients. Garnish with a strip of orange peel and a maraschino cherry.
