Add 1.5 oz genziana liqueur, 0.75 oz sweet vermouth, 0.25 oz dry vermouth, and 0.25 oz Cynar (or substitute) into a mixing glass.

Discard the ice/water from the chilled serving glass (if used). Double-strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora using a julep strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove any small ice shards.
