Mix-ins & Customizations (optional)

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Fill cup with ice

Place a disposable or reusable cup on a flat surface. Add approximately 1 cup of ice (adjust to preference) leaving about 1 inch of space at the top for carbonation and additions.

  2. 2

    Select and dispense base soda

Choose your preferred fountain soda flavor. If using a combined cup size of 1 cup (8 fl oz), dispense about 0.5 cups (4 fl oz) of the selected soda, then add a second 0.5 cups (4 fl oz) of the same or a different soda to reach a full cup (8 fl oz). Dispense slowly to minimize excessive foaming; pause if the foam builds and let it settle before finishing.

  3. 3

    Add flavored syrup (optional)

If you want a flavored modification, add 1 teaspoon of flavored syrup (for a subtle flavor) to the soda. For stronger flavor, increase to 1/2 tablespoon (not listed as standard ingredient). Stir gently with a straw or stirrer to incorporate. Be careful not to stir vigorously to preserve carbonation.

  4. 4

    Garnish and serve

Squeeze a fresh lemon or lime wedge into the drink if desired and drop the wedge into the cup. Add a maraschino cherry on top if desired. Insert a paper straw. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
