Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry Shake, regular size

Clean and destem the Semillon grapes, crushing them gently to release the juices.

Prepare the Grapes

Juice the fresh oranges and set aside the juice. Reserve the peels for zesting.

Prepare Orange Juice

In a clean fermentation vessel, combine the crushed Semillon grapes, orange juice, water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently to mix.

Combine Ingredients

Add the orange zest to the mixture for added flavor.

Add Zest

Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth and allow it to ferment at room temperature for 7-10 days, stirring gently once a day.

Fermentation

If using oak chips, add them to the fermentation vessel during the last few days of fermentation for additional flavor.

Optional Oak Aging

After fermentation, strain the mixture to remove solids and bottle the liquid in sterilized bottles.

Strain and Bottling

Seal the bottles and age in a cool, dark place for at least 3 months before tasting.
