Method

Prepare

  1. 1

    Chill bottle or glass

Refrigerate the Topo Chico bottle (or a glass) for at least 1–2 hours until well chilled. Sparkling water is best served very cold to preserve carbonation and taste.

  2. 2

    Select serveware

Choose a clean highball or Collins glass (12–16 oz) or serve directly from a chilled 12 oz bottle.

Serve

  1. 3

    Open bottle

Hold the chilled bottle upright and carefully twist the cap to open. Pour slowly if using a glass to preserve carbonation and avoid foaming.

  2. 4

    Add garnish (optional)

If desired, squeeze a lime wedge gently over the water and drop it into the glass, or clap a mint sprig between your palms and tuck it into the glass. These are optional and should be used to taste.

  3. 5

Serve immediately while very cold and fizzy. Topo Chico is typically enjoyed plain but can be used as a mixer in cocktails or with a splash of citrus.
