Beverage

  1. 1

    Chill and prepare glass

If the San Pellegrino isn't already cold, chill the bottle or can in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours or place in an ice bucket for 15–20 minutes. Choose a tall glass (collins or highball) and optionally pre-chill it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add ice

Place 4–6 ice cubes into the chilled glass. Adjust the number of ice cubes to preference and temperature of the water.

  3. 3

    Pour San Pellegrino

Open the bottle or can carefully to preserve carbonation. Hold the glass at a slight angle and pour the San Pellegrino gently down the side to reduce foaming, filling the glass about 90% full.

  4. 4

    Garnish and serve

If desired, twist a lemon wedge over the glass to release a few drops of juice, then drop the wedge in. Clap or lightly bruise the mint sprig between your palms and tuck it into the glass as a fragrant garnish. Serve immediately while fizzy.
