Method

Prepare bottle and glass

  1. 1

    Chill and inspect

If using a chilled bottle, remove it from refrigeration just before serving. Inspect the bottle cap and label for integrity and cleanliness. If using room-temperature water, place the unopened bottle in a refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill (optional).

  2. 2

If serving in a glass, ensure the glass is clean. Optionally chill the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes for a colder serving.

Optional garnish and ice

  1. 3

If using ice, add 3–4 ice cubes to the glass. If you prefer no ice, skip this step to avoid diluting the water as the ice melts.

  2. 4

Optionally add a slice of lemon to the rim or into the glass and a small sprig of fresh mint for aroma. These are purely optional and intended to enhance presentation and subtle flavor.

Serve

  1. 5

    Pour or present

Either pour the water from the bottle into the prepared glass, leaving the cap off, or present the unopened chilled bottle directly to the guest. If pouring, tilt the glass and pour gently to minimize splashing.

  2. 6

Place a napkin under the glass or bottle if desired. Offer a straw if requested. Serve immediately while cold.
