Cocktail
1. Measure and combine
Pour 2 oz vodka, 1 oz fresh Satsuma mandarin juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz cranberry juice and 0.25 oz grenadine into a cocktail shaker.
2. Add ice and shake
Add enough ice to nearly fill the shaker (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.
3. Prepare glass
Fill a chilled rocks or coupe glass with a large ice cube or fresh ice, depending on style. If serving up (no ice), chill the glass in the freezer beforehand and skip the ice in the glass.
4. Strain and finish
Double-strain (or fine-strain if pulpy mandarin juice used) the cocktail from the shaker into the prepared glass over the ice (or into the chilled glass if serving up). The grenadine will add a soft rosy gradient—if you prefer a more pronounced layer, pour the grenadine gently down the side of the glass before straining the shaken mix.
Garnish & Serve
5. Garnish with a Satsuma mandarin slice or twist and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a cocktail napkin or small stirrer.
