Cocktail

1

Prepare the glass (optional salted rim)

If you want a salted rim, pour the coarse kosher or flaked sea salt onto a small plate. Run the lime wedge around the outer edge of a rocks glass (or coupe) and gently dip the rim into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.

2

Build and shake

Add the Volcan Reposado tequila (2 oz), Grand Marnier (1 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.25 oz), and simple syrup (0.5 oz) into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (enough to come nearly to the top). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold and properly diluted.

3

Strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over a large ice cube or into a chilled coupe if you prefer it neat. Double-straining (using a fine mesh strainer) removes small ice shards and pulp for a cleaner texture.

4

Garnish

Express the orange twist over the drink by holding the peel skin-side down above the glass and giving it a quick twist to release the oils. Rub the peel briefly on the rim if desired, then drop it into the drink. Optionally, add an orange wheel on the rim for visual appeal.
