Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Choose a highball or hurricane glass (12–16 oz). Fill the glass with ice to chill while you mix the drink.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker or blender, add 2 oz dark rum, 1 oz coconut cream, 4 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz orange juice, and a handful of ice (about 1 cup).

  3. 3

    Shake or blend

If using a shaker: seal and shake vigorously for about 12–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy. If using a blender: pulse 2–3 times for a slightly slushy texture (do not overblend).

  4. 4

    Strain and serve

Discard the ice used to chill the glass (if desired) and fill the glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass. If you blended, pour the slushy mixture directly into the glass.

  5. 5

    Garnish and finish

Grate fresh nutmeg over the top to taste (about a light dusting). Garnish with a pineapple wedge and an orange slice on the rim. Serve with a straw and enjoy immediately.
