Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Wagyu

Remove the A-5 Satsuma Wagyu from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature (about 30 minutes).

2

Season the Beef

Generously season both sides of the Wagyu steak with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

3

Heat the Pan

In a cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering but not smoking.

4

Sear the Wagyu

Place the seasoned Wagyu steak in the hot skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time slightly for your preferred doneness.

5

Add Fresh Herbs

During the last minute of cooking, add the fresh herbs to the skillet to infuse flavor.

6

Rest the Steak

Remove the Wagyu from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

7

Serve

Slice the Wagyu against the grain and serve immediately, showcasing the marbling and tenderness.
