Soft Drink (single 250 ml serving)

Method

Soft Drink (single 250 ml serving)

1

Chill glass and prepare ice

Place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice and water while you prepare ingredients. Drain if you used ice to chill.

2

Measure citrus and syrup

Add 15 ml fresh lemon juice, 10 ml fresh lime juice, and 15 ml simple syrup into the chilled glass. Stir briefly to combine the juices and syrup.

3

Add ice

Fill the glass with 3–4 ice cubes, leaving room for the soda.

4

Top with soda

Slowly pour 200 ml cold carbonated lemon-lime soda (or club soda for a less sweet version) over the ice and citrus mixture to reach approximately 250 ml total volume. Pour gently to preserve carbonation.

5

Mix and adjust

Stir gently once with a bar spoon or straw to incorporate the citrus mixture without flattening the soda. Taste and, if needed, add up to 5 ml more simple syrup for sweetness or a squeeze of lemon/lime for more brightness.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lemon slice and a lime wedge on the rim and an optional mint sprig. Serve immediately with a straw.
