Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Build and shake

Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and setting aside. In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Nusa Caña white rum, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 1 oz fresh pineapple juice, 0.5 oz coconut water, 0.25 oz falernum, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) to cold-temperature the ingredients and dilute properly.

2

Shake and strain

Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled. Discard the ice from the chilled glass and double-strain the contents of the shaker into the glass filled with fresh crushed or cubed ice to avoid any pulp or small ice shards.

Finish & Garnish

3

Top the drink with one small grate of fresh nutmeg if using. Garnish by placing a pineapple leaf or thin pineapple wedge alongside a lime wheel on the rim. Serve with a short cocktail straw. Optionally add an extra dash of Angostura bitters on top for aromatic lift.
