Prepare and shake
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 6 large cubes). Add 2 oz Ketel One vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted.
Strain
If serving 'up': Double-strain the contents into a chilled coupe or martini glass. If serving on the rocks: Fill a lowball or rocks glass with 4 ice cubes and strain the cocktail over the ice.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in for an aromatic top note.
Optional Sparkle (Collins-style)
If you prefer a Collins-style drink, after straining into a highball glass filled with ice, top with 2 oz club soda and gently stir once to combine. Garnish with lime and serve with a straw.
