Fresh Fruit Salad
Citrus Honey Dressing
Optional Garnishes
Method
Fresh Fruit Salad
- 1
Prepare fruit
Wash all berries, grapes, and herbs under cold running water. Hull and quarter the strawberries. Halve the grapes. Dice the pineapple and mango into roughly 1/2-inch pieces. Peel and slice the kiwi. Slice the banana and keep it separate to prevent browning until just before serving.
- 2
Combine fruit
In a large mixing bowl, gently combine strawberries, blueberries, grapes, pineapple, kiwi, and mango. Toss carefully to avoid crushing softer fruit.
Citrus Honey Dressing
- 3
In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, honey, and orange zest until the honey is fully dissolved. Add the chopped mint, a pinch of sea salt, and a pinch of black pepper; stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
- 4
Pour about half of the dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat evenly. Reserve the remaining dressing to serve on the side or to add later if the fruit sits for a while (this helps prevent sogginess).
Finish & Serve
- 5
If using, stir the banana slices into the salad just before serving, or arrange them on top to keep them from browning. Sprinkle the toasted nuts over the salad for crunch and serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt or a spoonful of whipped cream if desired.
- 6
Serve immediately chilled or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours. If stored longer, keep dressing separate and add just before serving to maintain texture.
