1

Prepare glass

If desired, run a lemon wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip the rim into a shallow plate of sugar to lightly coat. Fill the glass with a large ice cube or enough ice to chill.

2

Build and stir

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker without ice, add 2 oz Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon, 0.5 oz Milagro Silver Tequila, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Add ice to the mixing glass and stir for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

3

Strain and top

Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared rocks glass over the large ice cube (or fresh ice). Top gently with 3 oz ginger beer, pouring slowly to preserve fizz and to combine without over-diluting.

4

Finish and garnish

Express a lemon twist over the drink (or squeeze a lime wheel) to release oils, rub the twist on the rim if you like, then drop the twist or wheel into the glass as garnish. Give the cocktail a gentle stir (1–2 turns) to integrate the ginger beer with the spirit mix.

5

Serve

Serve immediately while ginger beer is effervescent. Encourage sipper to enjoy the interplay of bourbon, tequila, bright citrus, sweetness, and ginger spice.
