For the Tiramisu

Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

1

Brew the Espresso

Brew 250 ml of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. If desired, stir in 50 ml of coffee liqueur for added flavor.

Prepare the Cream Mixture

2

Mix Mascarpone and Sugar

In a large bowl, combine 500 g of mascarpone cheese with 100 g of granulated sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix gently until smooth.

3

Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip 200 ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.

4

Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated and smooth.

Assemble the Tiramisu

5

Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the cooled espresso mixture, making sure they are soaked but not soggy.

6

Layer the Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.

7

Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the cream, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Chill and Serve

8

Refrigerate

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

9

Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 30 g of cocoa powder using a fine sieve.

10

Serve

Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy your classic Italian tiramisu!
