Method

Preparation of Strawberries

1

Wash and Dry the Strawberries

Rinse the fresh strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry to prevent the chocolate from seizing.

Melting the Chocolate

2

Melt Chocolate Chips and Coconut Oil

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Dipping the Strawberries

3

Dip Strawberries in Chocolate

Hold each strawberry by the green stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the strawberry. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

4

Add Toppings

If desired, immediately sprinkle the chopped nuts, sprinkles, or cocoa powder over the chocolate-covered part of the strawberry before the chocolate sets.

Setting the Chocolate

5

Place on Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they don’t touch each other.

6

Let Chocolate Set

Refrigerate the strawberries for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
