Marinara Sauce Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

1

Sauté the Aromatics

In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and chopped red onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.

2

Add the Tomatoes

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Allow the sauce to cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3

Season the Sauce

Add the chopped basil, honey, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to meld the flavors.

4

Serve

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. This marinara sauce can be used immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
