Preparation

1

Prepare the Beef

Remove the A-5 Japanese Wagyu beef from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

Cooking

2

Season the Beef

Sprinkle the sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic powder evenly over both sides of the Wagyu beef. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.

3

Sear the Wagyu

Heat a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until it is very hot. Place the Wagyu beef in the pan and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, depending on your preferred doneness.

4

Rest the Beef

Remove the Wagyu from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute throughout the meat.

Serving

5

Plate and Garnish

Slice the A-5 Japanese Wagyu against the grain into thin strips. Drizzle with truffle oil and sprinkle chopped chives over the top before serving.
