Pizza Dough
Method
Pizza Preparation
Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Roll Out the Dough
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to a thin crust, about 12 inches in diameter.
Add Toppings
Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Add your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice.
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve with Hot Oil
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice, and serve with your signature hot oil topping.
