Salsa Preparation

1

Prepare the Pineapple

Peel, core, and dice the fresh pineapple into small cubes until you have about 2 cups.

2

Chop the Vegetables

Finely chop the red bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeño pepper (remove seeds for less heat).

3

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, chopped red bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeño pepper.

4

Add Cilantro and Seasoning

Finely chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the mixing bowl. Pour in the lime juice, and sprinkle salt and black pepper over the mixture.

5

Mix Well

Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

6

Chill the Salsa

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the salsa chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

7

Prepare Tortilla Chips

Open the bag of tortilla chips and place them in a serving bowl.

8

Serve

After the salsa has chilled, serve it in a separate bowl alongside the tortilla chips for dipping.
