Prepare the Glass
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill.

Mix the Ingredients
In a shaker, combine dark rum, pear juice, ginger syrup, and fresh lime juice. Shake well until chilled.

Pour and Top
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over the ice. Top with ginger ale.

Garnish with a slice of pear on the rim of the glass.
