Ingredients for Whiskey-Smoked Wings

Method

Instructions for Cooking Whiskey-Smoked Wings

  1. 1

    Marinate the Wings

In a large bowl, combine whiskey, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and honey. Mix well. Add chicken wings and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Smoker

Soak the applewood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Drain the applewood chips and place them in the smoker box.

  3. 3

    Smoke the Wings

Remove the wings from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Place wings on the smoker rack. Smoke the wings for about 1.5 to 2 hours, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are crispy on the outside.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
