Mixers & Garnishes (optional, per-serving)
Serving Supplies
Method
Carbonated Soft Drinks (Bottles/Cans)
- 1
Chill and Stock
Place all bottles and cans in a cooler or refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving so they are well chilled (about 3–6°C / 37–43°F). If short on time, submerge sealed bottles/cans in an ice-water bath for 20–30 minutes.
- 2
Arrange 1–2 different cola/cola-variant options, 1–2 lemon-lime sodas, 1–2 ginger ales and 1–2 orange sodas visibly in the cooler or on a serving tray for easy access. Keep similar flavors grouped so guests can quickly find preferred drinks.
- 3
If offering cans, provide a can opener only if any specialty bottles require it; otherwise leave cans sealed and place on ice for self-service. Replenish from storage as items are taken.
Still and Sparkling Water
- 4
Chill and Present
Chill small bottled still and sparkling waters in the refrigerator or cooler for at least 1–2 hours. Keep large chilled water bottles in the fridge and place one as a refill pitcher near the service area.
- 5
Set sparkling and still waters on a separate tray or section of the cooler to avoid confusion. Provide clear labeling (sparkling vs still) if desired.
- 6
Mixers & Garnishes (optional, per-serving)

If a guest wants a served drink: fill a clear serving glass 2/3 with ice, pour the chosen soft drink or water over ice, add a lemon or lime wedge and a mint sprig if requested, and provide a straw. For sparkling water, pour gently to preserve carbonation.
