Blanco Mule (per cocktail)

Method

Preparation & Build

1

Chill glass (optional)

If preferred, place a mule mug or highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before preparing the cocktail to keep it extra cold.

2

Add base and citrus

Fill the chilled mule mug or highball glass with ice (crushed is traditional, but cubes are fine). Pour in 2 oz blanco tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup.

3

Top with ginger beer

Gently top with about 4 oz cold ginger beer. Stir once or twice gently with a bar spoon to combine — avoid over-stirring to keep carbonation.

4

Finish & garnish

Add 2 dashes angostura bitters on top (they will scent the drink). Slap a mint sprig between your palms to release oils and place it in the glass along the rim. Add a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.

5

Serve

Serve immediately with a short straw or without. Suggest to the guest to give the drink a quick gentle stir before sipping if ingredients have settled.
