Refrigerate the 12 oz bottle or can of Upside Dawn Golden Ale until it reaches serving temperature of 38–45°F (3–7°C). This typically takes at least 2–4 hours in a standard refrigerator or 30–45 minutes in an ice bath.

Chill beer

If desired, place the pilsner or pint glass in the refrigerator or freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill with ice water for 1–2 minutes then discard the ice water. A cold glass helps maintain proper beer temperature and head retention.

Chill glass (optional)

Hold the chilled glass at a 45-degree angle. Open the bottle or can carefully to avoid excessive foam. Begin pouring the Upside Dawn slowly down the side of the glass to the midpoint.

When the glass is about half full, gradually tilt it upright and continue pouring into the center to create a 1/2–1 inch (approx. 1–2 cm) head of foam. This helps release the ale's aromatics and gives an attractive presentation.

If you like a bright citrus accent, run a lemon wedge around the rim and drop the wedge into the glass or serve on the side. Non-alcoholic golden ales are typically enjoyed without garnish, so this step is optional.

Serve immediately and enjoy. Suggest pairing: light salads, grilled chicken, fish tacos, or pub-style snacks.
