Seitan Tenders

Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Seitan Dough

In a large bowl, combine vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, and any desired salt and pepper. Mix well.

2

Add Liquid

Gradually pour in the vegetable broth while stirring the mixture until a dough forms.

3

Knead the Dough

Knead the dough for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes elastic.

4

Shape the Tenders

Divide the dough into pieces and shape them into tender-like strips.

5

Cook the Tenders

In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add the seitan strips and boil for 30 minutes. Remove from the pot and let cool slightly.

6

Sauté the Tenders

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked seitan strips and sauté until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

7

Serve

Serve the seitan tenders hot with BBQ sauce and ranch dressing on the side.
