Method

Prepare Ingredients

1

Measure and prep

Measure out frozen mixed berries and place in the blender. Peel and roughly chop the banana; add to blender. Measure the almond milk and Greek yogurt and set near the blender.

2

If you prefer a thinner smoothie, use a little more almond milk (increase by 2–4 tablespoons). If your berries are only partly frozen, add 4 ice cubes to the blender.

Blend

3

Add liquids and flavorings

Pour the almond milk and Greek yogurt over the fruit in the blender. Add honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and fresh lemon juice.

4

Add boosters

Sprinkle the ground flaxseed (or chia seeds) and the rolled oats into the blender. Add ice cubes if using.

5

Blend to smooth

Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 45–90 seconds, or until smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if necessary, then blend again briefly to fully combine. The smoothie should be pourable but thick.

Adjust & Serve

6

Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or thickness: add an extra 1/2 tablespoon honey for more sweetness, or 2–4 tablespoons almond milk to thin. Blend briefly after adjustments.

7

Pour the smoothie into a tall glass. Garnish with a fresh mint leaf and an extra berry or banana slice if desired. Serve immediately.
