Method

Fruit & Base

1

Prepare fruit

If using whole frozen fruit, run under cool water briefly to remove excess frost. Peel the banana and break into chunks so it blends evenly.

2

Add the frozen mixed berries, banana chunks, Greek yogurt, and almond milk to a blender in that order (liquids last can help blending).

Sweetener & Flavor

3

Add honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and fresh lemon juice to the blender with the fruit and base ingredients.

Add-ins & Boosters

4

Add ground chia seeds and rolled oats (if using) into the blender. If you want a thicker, colder smoothie, add the ice cubes now.

5

Blend

Secure the blender lid and blend on medium-high for 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and no large fruit or oat pieces remain. Pause and scrape down the sides with a spatula once if needed, then continue blending to incorporate.

6

Check consistency. If too thick, add 2–4 tablespoons (30–60 ml) more almond milk and blend briefly until desired consistency is reached. If too thin, add 1–2 extra tablespoons of oats or a few more ice cubes and pulse to thicken.

Serve & Garnish

7

Pour the smoothie into two 12-16 oz glasses, or into one large glass depending on preference.

8

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few whole berries if desired. Serve immediately.
