1

Prepare the mascarpone mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

2

Whip the heavy cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

3

Separate the eggs

Carefully separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks until they become pale and creamy.

4

Combine egg yolks and mascarpone

Gently fold the whipped egg yolks into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

5

Prepare the coffee mixture

In a shallow dish, pour the cooled brewed coffee. You can add a splash of coffee liqueur if desired.

6

Soak the ladyfingers

Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 1-2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

7

Layer the tiramisu

In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

8

Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

9

Make the chocolate sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth and well combined, stirring frequently.

10

Serve

Once chilled, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder before serving. Drizzle the melted chocolate sauce over individual portions as desired.
