Shed Mountain Ale is a refreshing craft beer that captures the essence of the great outdoors. Brewed with a blend of premium malts and aromatic hops, this golden-hued ale offers a perfect balance of mild sweetness and crisp bitterness. Heat 5 liters of water to approximately 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt and crystal malt, maintaining the temperature around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Mashing

After 60 minutes, sparge the grains with hot water to collect the wort. Aim for about 6 liters of wort.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Add 1 oz of Cascade hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add the remaining Cascade and Centennial hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.

Boiling

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks, or until fermentation is complete.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water. Add to the beer and bottle it. Cap the bottles.

Bottling

Allow the bottles to carbonate at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. Then chill and enjoy your Shed Mountain Ale!
