In a large pot, heat 1000 ml of water to 65°C. Add the malted barley and corn, stirring well. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes to allow the starches to convert to sugars.

Step 1: Mash the Grain

After mashing, separate the liquid (wort) from the grain by straining it through a fine mesh. Collect the wort in a separate pot.

Step 2: Lautering

Bring the wort to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. This process will extract bitterness and flavors from the hops.

Step 3: Boil the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to about 20°C using a wort chiller or ice bath.

Step 4: Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and add the yeast. Seal the vessel and let it ferment for about 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

Step 5: Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into clean bottles and cap them. Allow the bottles to condition for another week.

Step 6: Bottling

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator, pour into a glass, and enjoy your homemade Michelob Ultra!
