Preparing the Coffee Mixture

Brew the Espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and let it cool slightly.

Mix the Coffee and Liqueur
Once cooled, mix the espresso with 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
Making the Filling

Whisk Egg Yolks
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar until pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone
Add 500 grams of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix until smooth.

Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and smooth.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip 24 ladyfinger cookies one at a time into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer Cookies
Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a serving dish.

Add Filling
Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.
Chilling and Serving

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
