Method

Chips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tortillas

Cut the corn tortillas into triangles to create chip shapes.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chips

Carefully add a few tortilla triangles to the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Salsa

  1. 4

    Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.

  2. 5

    Mix the Salsa

In a bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and the juice of one lime. Season with salt to taste. Mix well.

  3. 6

    Chill the Salsa

Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Guacamole

  1. 7

    Prepare the Avocados

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.

  2. 8

    Mash the Avocados

Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth but still slightly chunky.

  3. 9

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Add the juice of one lime, minced garlic, salt, chopped cilantro, and diced tomato to the avocado. Mix until well combined.

  4. 10

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the guacamole and adjust seasoning as necessary.
