Crust Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2
Mix Crust Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are moistened.
- 3
Form the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and let cool.
Filling Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
- 5
Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add granulated sugar, mixing well. Then, add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- 6
Incorporate Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just blended. Do not overmix.
- 7
Add Flour
Sift in all-purpose flour and mix until just combined.
- 8
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust in the springform pan.
- 9
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and only slightly jiggles when shaken.
- 10
Cool and Refrigerate
Turn off the oven and crack the oven door, allowing the cheesecake to cool gradually. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
