Burger Directions
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- 2
Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Fries Directions
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 9
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
