Method

Bottle

1

Chill bottle

Ensure the San Pellegrino 750 ml bottle is well chilled (ideally 4–8°C / 39–46°F). If not chilled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or place in an ice bucket for 20–30 minutes.

2

Open carefully

Remove any foil or seal from the bottle top. Hold the bottle upright and twist the cap slowly to open — do so gently to control the release of carbonation and avoid sudden fizzing.

3

Pour

Tilt the glass at a slight angle (about 45°) and pour the water slowly down the side to preserve bubbles and avoid excessive foaming. Fill to desired level, typically leaving 1–2 cm from the rim.

Optional garnish / service

4

Add ice (optional)

If you prefer your water very cold, add 4–6 fresh ice cubes to the glass before or after pouring. Note: ice will slightly dilute as it melts.

5

Garnish with citrus

If using citrus, cut a thin wedge of lemon or lime and either drop it into the glass or balance it on the rim. For a lighter aroma, twist the wedge over the glass to release oils before adding.

6

Mint (optional)

Lightly slap a mint sprig between your hands to release aroma and place it in the glass or on the rim as a fragrant garnish.

Glassware & presentation

7

Serve immediately while still fizzy. Present the bottle on a tray or alongside the filled glass so guests can top up as desired. If serving multiple people, pour half/one-third into each glass and leave the bottle at the table.

8

Store any remaining water upright in the refrigerator with the cap replaced to retain carbonation for up to 24–48 hours; expect gradual loss of effervescence.
