Brussels Sprouts with Pomegranate Fig Glaze
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half from top to bottom.
- 2
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and baharat spice. Spread them out on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
- 3
Make the Pomegranate Fig Glaze
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine pomegranate juice and chopped figs. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- 4
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and drizzle the pomegranate fig glaze over them. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh mint before serving.
