Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or a large wine glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink stays bright and cold when served.

2

Build and shake

In a cocktail shaker, add orange vodka (2 oz), passionfruit puree (1 oz), guava juice (1.5 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), and simple syrup (0.5 oz). Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

3

Strain

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Using a Hawthorne or fine strainer, double-strain the shaken mixture into the chilled glass to remove ice shards and any large pulp bits. Pour until the glass is about two-thirds full.

4

Top with prosecco

Gently top the cocktail with chilled prosecco (2 oz). Pour slowly down the side of the glass so the bubbles don’t dissipate too quickly and to create a gentle layered effect.

5

Finish and garnish

If desired, spoon 1/2 teaspoon passionfruit seeds or pulp on top for visual appeal and an extra burst of flavor. Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist on the rim. Serve immediately.

6

Notes

Adjust sweetness by varying the simple syrup from 0.25–0.75 oz. Use high-quality passionfruit puree (or fresh passionfruit pulp strained to remove large husks) and ripe guava juice for the brightest tropical flavor. For a lighter version, reduce vodka to 1.5 oz and increase prosecco to 3 oz.
