Method

Cocktail

1

Build and Shake

Add 2 oz rye, 3 oz chilled sweet peach tea, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz peach syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice.

2

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy from the tea and citrus.

3

Prepare Glass

Fill a highball glass or Collins glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup).

4

Strain

Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the fresh ice to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

5

Garnish & Finish

Garnish with a lemon wheel or a thin peach slice and optionally a sprig of mint. Serve with a short stir to marry flavors.

6

Serve immediately. Estimated sweetness can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the peach syrup by 0.25 oz; substitute unsweetened peach tea and increase syrup to taste if using.
