Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Chill a coupe or a rocks glass by filling it with ice water while you build the drink, or place in the freezer for a few minutes.
Muddle raspberries
In a cocktail shaker, place the 4 fresh raspberries and the 0.5 oz simple syrup. Gently muddle until broken down and a jammy consistency forms but avoid over-mushing seeds.
Add spirits and citrus
Add 2 oz Nantucket blueberry vodka, 0.5 oz raspberry liqueur (or 0.5 oz fresh raspberry puree if using), 0.5 oz Amaro Nonino, and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker with the muddled raspberries.
Dry shake (optional)
If you used fresh raspberry puree or want a frothier texture, dry shake (shake without ice) vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify fruit and citrus with the spirits.
Shake with ice
Add a good handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled (shaker should frost).
Strain
Discard the ice water from your chilled glass. Fine-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Use a fine mesh strainer if you muddled fresh raspberries to remove seeds and pulp.
Top (optional)
If you prefer a slightly lighter, spritz-style drink, top with 1 oz club soda. Gently stir once to combine.
Serve
Serve immediately while chilled. Yields one serving.
