Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Drain and Rest
Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Let them rest for a few minutes.
- 6
Toss in Sauce
Toss the fried wings in your favorite hot sauce or a Korean spicy sauce to coat them evenly before serving.
