1. Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Use a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife to slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
2. Soak the Slices
Place the potato slices in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps achieve crispiness.
3. Dry the Slices
Drain the potato slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
4. Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
