Honey Toast Base
Geymar (Sweetened Condensed Milk Sauce)
Toppings & Garnish
Method
Honey Toast Base
Prepare bread
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). If your bread slices are very thick (2 inches or more), create a shallow well in the center by cutting a 1/2" border off the top crust of each slice to help hold toppings (keep removed crumb for another use).
Butter and honey mixture
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, 3 tablespoons honey, granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir until smooth and paste-like.
Assemble and bake
Spread the butter-honey mixture evenly on both cut surfaces and lightly on crusts of each bread slice. Place slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cut side up. Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are golden and buttered surfaces are bubbly. For extra caramelization, broil 1–2 minutes watching closely to avoid burning.
Geymar (Sweetened Condensed Milk Sauce)
Make the geymar
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, whole milk and 1 tablespoon butter. Warm gently, stirring constantly until smooth and slightly thickened, about 4–6 minutes. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt. Taste and adjust: add up to 1 tablespoon extra milk if too thick.
Optional caramel note
If you prefer a deeper, caramel-like geymar, cook the sweetened condensed milk a few minutes longer over low heat until it takes on a light golden color, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
Toppings & Finish
Plate the warm honey toasts (two slices per serving). Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon extra honey across each slice for shine and immediate honey flavor.
Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of warm geymar over each slice, allowing some to pool on the plate.
Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if using; sprinkle toasted almonds or chopped peanuts and fresh berries or banana slices around and on top.
Garnish with a couple of mint leaves for color and serve immediately while toast is warm and geymar is fluid.
