Method

Build & Mix

1

Prepare glass

Fill a large Collins glass or tiki-style glass with crushed ice and set aside so the glass chills while you mix.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker or mixing tin filled halfway with ice, add vodka, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, blue fruit punch, orgeat syrup, and sweet & sour mix.

3

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted (shaker becomes frosty).

4

Strain over ice

Using a Hawthorne strainer or fine strainer, strain the mixed cocktail over the prepared glass piled with crushed ice. Aim to retain the crushed-ice profile in the glass while giving the drink a full pour.

5

Top & adjust color

If desired, gently float an additional 0.25 oz (a splash) of blue curaçao on top for a more vivid blue hue, or add a small extra splash (0.25 oz) of cranberry if you prefer a slightly pinker tint. Do this by pouring slowly over the back of a spoon.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish the rim of the glass with a fresh pineapple wedge and drop a maraschino cherry onto the top of the crushed ice. Optionally skewer the pineapple and cherry on a cocktail pick.

7

Serve immediately with a straw and a small cocktail stirrer so the guest can mix the layers if they wish.
